You must associate with and keep company with possibility-minded people. This is probably the single most important tip I can offer to help you stay on track and to stay motivated. Make it a point to speak with at least one positive person (besides you of course) every day. I know it may at times seem like you’re alone and that the world is overcrowded with negativity and people focusing on what’s impossible instead of the infinite possibilities. What make me happy will not necessarily bring happiness to you. The things in life that bring us true happiness are subjective, and that’s OK. Everyone seeks happiness in their own way. What makes you happy is unique to you and your experience. What’s more, there is nothing wrong with your vision of success, joy and happiness being the polar opposite of what works for me. I recently watched a video from one of my favorite mentors, Stephen Pierce entitled How to Play and Win where he describes the power (and pitfalls) of planning for success.
In the video he explains that while planning is an important component of success it is possible to get too involved with the plan instead of focusing on winning.
What I love about Stephen Pierce is his ability to cut to the basics. In this training video below he points out the success planning is not like a game of chess, but rather like a game of tic-tac-toe where success is a three step process. See the video below. Read the rest of this entry »
