We all have goals that we want to achieve, dreams that we want to attain. Our goals differ from each other, but reaching these may not be as easy as it looks. Yes, you have the perfect work attitude, and yes, also know how to prioritize. There are, however, some things in life that you just cannot control. Read the rest of this entry »
Guiding others through life can be a daunting, but potentially rewarding task for any person who is up to the challenge. The person doing the guiding has a fine line to walk. On one hand he must be strong enough to reprimand the follower when that person ignores advice or strays from the path. On the other hand, he must sometimes allow the follower to stray, so that the follower can better understand why things should be done differently. The people doing the guiding generally fall into the categories of coaches and mentors. Read the rest of this entry »
Writing Down your Thoughts can Improve your Thinking Process
So much goes on around us every single day. Therefore it is hard for our mind to remember all of it. The thought process is very complex and indeed fascinating at the same time. If you want to be able to remember details of your day write them down in a journal or a diary. Your thinking process will improve as you do this. Chances are that you will be able to remember various details as well that you didn’t recall with the memory just stored in your mind.
When you write down your thoughts you can also do so freely. Too many times we are analyzing what we are thinking as we do it. Try to get into the habit of writing down what your true feelings are without allowing yourself to analyze what you are doing. This freedom is going to help you uncover how you really feel about a certain topic. Read the rest of this entry »

The brain is a fascinating aspect of our bodies because so much of who we are is controlled there. It is common though to get caught up in a pattern of behavior when it comes to thinking. If you are doing it all on auto pilot then it is time to change the way you think! You will definitely get more out of life when you take such an approach. It will improve your relationships, your attitude, your work environment, and even how you feel about yourself.
It can be hard to really assess your thinking process when you are on auto pilot. Try to do so objectively though so you can see things in a new light. Think about something you do at home or work all the time. Read the rest of this entry »

A Purpose to Live For, A Self to Live With and a Faith to Live By
What motivates you? How do you stay focused?
We’re all motivated a little differently. Some of us are turned on by money-or rather what we think the money will do for us. Others are motivated by ego and the drive for glory.
Sometimes, we’re motivated by fear-of loss, of death, of loneliness and a host of other things. Still others are driven by the desire to help people. Read the rest of this entry »

Last night I listened to an interview with Derek Franklin, who has created a really cool piece of productivity software that manages your time for you.
Derek’s program allows you to manage multiple countdown timers all at once. But you’ve got to see it in action because it can do so much more than just that.
What I really like about this software is that it is totally customizable to fit your specific needs. It’s Awesome!
It’s completely intuitive and it will create a report at the end of the day, week, month (or whenever period you tell it) so you can then evaluate what exactly what you accomplished vs. what you intended to get done.
OK, so this is the deal…
Usually I’m not onboard with the “magical mystery
tour” kind of stuff. But what this guy has is truly
different.
I’m kind of embarrassed to admit this, but I’ve been
flexing my mental muscle on this, and guess what?
It WORKS! http://a.gd/success-law1
Matter of fact, the other day when I had another
record day in my business (yeah, even with all the
gloom and doom on the news!) a colleague asked
me this… Read the rest of this entry »
You must associate with and keep company with possibility-minded people. This is probably the single most important tip I can offer to help you stay on track and to stay motivated. Make it a point to speak with at least one positive person (besides you of course) every day. I know it may at times seem like you’re alone and that the world is overcrowded with negativity and people focusing on what’s impossible instead of the infinite possibilities. I assure you, however, quite the opposite is true. You merely need to adjust your perspective. Read the rest of this entry »
What make me happy will not necessarily bring happiness to you. The things in life that bring us true happiness are subjective, and that’s OK. Everyone seeks happiness in their own way. What makes you happy is unique to you and your experience. What’s more, there is nothing wrong with your vision of success, joy and happiness being the polar opposite of what works for me.
