We live in a world were we are constantly bombarded with information via the Internet, cell phones and text messaging. In order to cope we tend to filter out most of it in. But personal communication should be different. Personal communication is all about giving and receiving. Communication by definition cannot (or at least should not) be one way. I cannot begin to tell you what an impact Napoleon Hill has had on my life. I must have read his book “Think and Grow Rich” dozens upon dozens of times.
Just this evening I was coaching my friend and MLM superstar, Ali Yasin (Actually, I learned more from him than he did from me –but don’t tell him that, OK?) — we were comparing squeeze page samples for a project we were working on. One of the web pages we looked at offered a free download of Mr. Hill’s book as an inducement for signing up for their newsletter/list. Read the rest of this entry »

Don’t let Procrastination Steal Your Dreams
Personal development can never be accomplished without personal work. You do need to dream, but despite what you’ve been told you cannot just dream your way to success. If you fail to take action and work at it, you just won’t amount to much in life, it’s that simple.
But many of us are burdened with procrastination and laziness? Can you over come this? The answer is absolutely YES! But you need to live a life of passion and possibilities. Read the rest of this entry »

Woe is Me
When times are tough, as with the current economic recession, it is always easy to give in to depression and constantly moan about the woes of life. There are just too many worries to constantly think about: bills to pay, family to care for, and so on. The problems never end. The fact is, they never do! As you make your journey through life, you will always encounter barriers and hurdles. These are trials meant to test your strength and improve your will. Rather than simply give up and cry your frustrations out, you may want to look around you and see that no one is exempt from problems. Read the rest of this entry »

Some people just can’t help but go out of their way just to make other people happy, you know, “kissing up”. They do their best to bend over backwards just to give in to the demands of others, even if this means forgetting about their own needs along the way. When you become this kind of person, two things can happen: either you will annoy other people because you try to please others too much, or worse, you will meet people who want your friendship just to get favors. How To Argue Successfully
Arguments will always be a part of human relationships. The difference in upbringing and beliefs make each person unique. Often times, people view a disagreement in a negative light. While getting into a squabble with another person can be stressful, it has its upside as well. When you argue, you open doors to change. As with any other person, we all need to adjust and learn the value of meeting half way. Read the rest of this entry »

Office work is stressful. It’s something that you simply can’t avoid. The real world puts so many demands on you that you sometimes have to find a balance between work and play. More often than not, work trumps personal time simply because it sustains your lifestyle. Those that don’t put their responsibilities before everything else end up losing their job because they aren’t able to deliver. Read the rest of this entry »

Think about it, you work hard to do things right, sometimes paying for the mistakes of others, and yet still have to answer to “the man” or dance to another’s tune. Is that the way you really want to live? Sadly, this description of life I just gave is all to common. Many folks lead this kind of blind existence. As I look around me, in fact, I think that most people do. But this is not the way things are supposed to be—friends, there’s something seriously wrong here. Read the rest of this entry »

Guiding others through life can be a daunting, but potentially rewarding task for any person who is up to the challenge. The person doing the guiding has a fine line to walk. On one hand he must be strong enough to reprimand the follower when that person ignores advice or strays from the path. On the other hand, he must sometimes allow the follower to stray, so that the follower can better understand why things should be done differently. The people doing the guiding generally fall into the categories of coaches and mentors. Read the rest of this entry »

People can often be their own worst enemy, especially when they allow their negative feelings to create artificial barriers to achieving their goals, personally and professionally. We see this every day – person A begins talking enthusiastically about a new opportunity and immediately persons B and C shoot the idea down by focusing only on the negative outcomes that could potentially result.
